In Basel, Switzerland it is time for the Autumn Fair (Herbst Messe). It is an exciting time for children and adults who enjoy happiness screaming from their children and grandchildren's faces. It is also time for the old, adventurous souls who are willing to risk turning their innards upside down and strain their necks on heart-stopping wild rides. Chestnuts are warm in hands and are, like burnt sugar-coated almonds, magenbrot, and cotton candy are delicious going down stomachs. And those warm giant size pretzels and an enormous variety of sweets add to the children's delight and energy and adds a few pounds to moms and dads and empty their pockets.  But it is fleeting two weeks of fun, so everyone enjoys the moment.
